If you’re looking for a show to get young people off the couch,  away from the TV and enjoying  the fun and energy of dance, this is the show for you!  A terrific, funny story, great characters, some of our best music/songs ever and the opportunity to stage a colourful, toe tapping  production makes this show  a winner. One set , easy to stage.  No need for choreographic expertise!  Loads of advice offered with lots of suggestions to make the simple look sensational!!  Scheming developer Daryl Dimond plans to demolish a much loved dance hall and build the tallest building in the city in order to become ‘King of the Town’.  The board of the building do their best to change his mind, looking back over the hall’s fabulous history.  Memories like the twenties dance that was held up by gangsters, the black cats that boogie in the alley behind the hall on Saturdays, the rock and roll dance interrupted by dispute between rival gangs, the ‘Big Band’ forties dance, a live TV broadcast of the 60s  dance craze, ‘the Bump’,  mean that the show is packed with reminiscences, intrigue and  hilarity. The locals even try to teach Daryl to dance so he might understand the joy of dance and change his mind.  A great show to get kids moving, singing and having fun.

Simple format with a great story linking the items.

60-65 minutes.  12 songs, a terrific finale.  Suitable for a large group or a whole school.  Items for all age groups.  Small speaking roles in each performance group.  4 main roles. Great support  material.

Blue Ribbon Belle is a celebration of country life through an adventure that occurs at an annual agricultural show.

Ally’s mum has ruled that her beloved cow Belle must be sold as the farm is short of money. As Belle  is such a special cow, the two friends set off to the agricultural show to try to win enough prize money to change mum’s plans.

While at the show, they meet all sorts of characters from sideshow alley, farming life and the carnival. Items depict the merry go round, the jumping castle, the cooking pavilion, the rodeo, the country blue jeans chorus, the chicken reel and more!.  Belle finally enters the Grand Parade of animals and competes against her arch rival, the pompous and self promoting, Rodney the Rooster. An exciting and moving finale celebrates country life and friendship. The show is an energetic and colourful production that celebrates a country icon  in a fun and contemporary way.  If desired it gives a school a great opportunity to stage a fund raising carnival or fete as part of the show’s theme and to enhance the festivities.  We think this will be a most popular show all over the country.

Circus Splendida

First published in 2004, we had rave reviews from schools and groups all over Australia and New Zealand.  If you are looking for a show with energy, colour and humour, this is the one for you! Circus Splendida is a wonderful show featuring clowns, jugglers, hula hoop performers, the tiny tumblers and lots more! The simple story about one night in the life of a circus links all the performance groups in which the clowns emerge as the heroes of the show! No circus skills are needed, just tons of enthusiasm, energy and humour! Any comedians amongst your students can strut their stuff in this show! If you do have any gymnastic or ball handling experts this is a wonderful opportunity for them to be involved in an arts event. There are small speaking roles for members of each performance group.  All groups can practice separately and come together for the final rehearsals.

Fabulous acts, 13 great items including dance, drama and music.  Perform them all or choose your favourites.  We think it’s one of our best.  About 50-60 minutes in length.  One set.  All you need is the popcorn and the ice creams! Just Splendida!!
